Is it love?
I think I’m in love…with the announcement of the Garmin 405 I am fantasizing about all the possibilities. I’m hoping to see some good reviews over the next few months and then purchase one at some point. I’m so glad it’s much smaller than the previous models (which was my main reason for not purchasing one.)
In other (lack of) running news: it was -20C (-5F) today as the high (without windchill…which was pretty bad in itself.) No running was had. I have certainly braved colder temperatures as I have previously lived where there would be a typical month or two of -40C to -50C but I don’t miss that. That’s when you stay inside as much as possible and even having your car plugged in doesn’t mean it will always start. It’s when the snow gets so cold it’s like walking on rubber. That’s when the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales match. That’s when buildings have underground or +15 tunnels to get around. So though I wasn’t facing a run quite that cold I was still not about to strap on my runners and have Mother Nature turn me into an instant kir-icicle.
