Sunday’s long run was a bit odd for me. I usually do long runs with others so going by myself took a little willpower to set out. It was a bit chilly but I warmed up nicely and don’t have any complaints really. I got it over and done with though I definitely need to work on increasing my mileage because I certainly noticed leg fatigue more so than usual.
Monday I did a bunch of strength training, which I am trying to get back into.
Today I was finally going to run with the group I joined and put my running gear on early so I couldn’t cop out. However, life got in the way and I had to solve a minor crisis and then I realized while finishing up making dinner that oops, I was supposed to be there in two minutes. So instead, I headed out by myself.
This was the first time I used the Amphipod reflective thingy. When I set out I realized it was a whole lot darker than I had imagined so I figured I’d do a quick 30 mins. Then I came to the realization that I was probably going to do a faceplant since I literally could not see ANYTHING, so I only managed 15 mins. A little ways into the mini-run I got honked at, which scared the crap out of me because I wasn’t on the road or anything. Turns out it I knew the person (though how was I supposed to judge this in the dark??) According to them they saw the reflection way before they came close to me, so that’s good. I definitely need to invest in a head lamp or some sort of gadget like that for dark runs.
I totally forget what else I was going to write about 😛 So uhm…yeah…I’ll write more if my brain turns on again, haha.
